A couple of years ago I wrote LilyQuick:
Something broke (everything freezes) when I upgraded to Debian 10, which was quite annoying. Whatever I did to fix it on my current machine works OK now. I need to push the update, if it's not going to ruin it for everyone else. But it's good, and my Lilypond music entry is accurate and quick.
