please forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean with "TLS enabled older Linphone 
Are you referencing the version from Google Play (2.0.2). This suppose to be 
the version installed.
However I can't see an TLS option there.
I deleted the account, but as the also acts as router it 
will be at least in the path between device and sip server even if I use

So you were able to check the logs on and saw that my phone 
was registering (Don't mix it with my Note 2 which has a similar setup...). The 
logcat entries however stated that it couldn't connect. So the confirmation 
message got lost?
