I was for a few hours connected to AdaNet. Perhaps that's the reason?
It's a 50000 Client Server. :-)

91% of the clients I've seen are eMules.

Perhaps your port for client propagation for mldonkey is closed?
(I don't know this port atm. base+4?)
You should go for sure and open 4660:4670 for both tcp and udp.
