In your case everthing should be fine now.
All corrupted chunks of the temp files have other (wrong) checksums and will 
be loaded again. The chunks already loaded and not corrupted are ok then.

BTW, ext3 is still unstable!
I use reiserfs which is a bit more slow but stable.
