Yes, I remember it quite well.  The days when software
fit on one floppy disk.  

I'm not quite sure what the point is.  I can reminisce
about lots of old technology -- that doesn't mean it
is useful in today's marketplace.

ever heard of FTP-Mail? In the good ol' days of networking not
everyone was 'online'. So some people had the great idea to allow
transferring files from ftp servers by email. To get a file all you
had to do was to send a request to an ftp-mail-server, and you'll have
the file in your email uucp packet a bit later...
