There is no need to install anything. Either compile it from source 
<http://ftp.berlios.de/pub/mldonkey/spiralvoice/cvs/>, which should 
work without hassle, or find an binary distribution for your platform.

After that, you have a binary named "mlnet". Run it. That's all.

Do get actual downloads, connect to <http://localhost:4080> while it is 
running. This gives you a GUI, not too comfortable but well working.
