Hello all,

I have succesfully installed nss-mysql 0.43 and everything seemed to be
working fine. I could log in with any user in database, do a finger, su,
ssh..
Whatever.. BUT there is this problem: my /var/log/messages file gets
filled with errors like:

Aug 21 14:12:33 calisto nss-mysql[30516]: Cannot open /etc/nss-mysql.conf
configuration file: Permission denied. (euid=134524640, uid=134523696)
Aug 21 14:12:33 calisto nss-mysql[30516]: passwd.c: handle_query: conf
file parsing failed
Aug 21 14:12:35 calisto nss-mysql[30519]: Cannot open /etc/nss-mysql.conf
configuration file: Permission denied. (euid=134524640, uid=134523696)
Aug 21 14:12:35 calisto nss-mysql[30519]: passwd.c: handle_query: conf
file parsing failed
Aug 21 14:12:35 calisto nss-mysql[30521]: Cannot open /etc/nss-mysql.conf
configuration file: Permission denied. (euid=134524640, uid=134523696)

Now, these euid and uids are too big aren't they?
I have read someplace that it is a bug, and that CVS version should be
used, becuase it has been fixed..

So I tried downloading it from cvs repository like this (i am VERY n00b as
far as CVS is concerned):

cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/nss-mysql login
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/nss-mysql co
nss-mysql

Now after this I have a nss-mysql directory, but I cannot run ./configure,
since there is none. SO I figured that if I would copy those files in the
directory where unpacket tar.gz over the old ones, everything would work.
And it seemed it did.
configure went through
make and make install also
but i still get the huge uid and euid mistakes?
Hmm any help? :))

Thanks

Nenad
