Follow-up Comment #3, bug #57337 (project octave):
There are several bug reports on here about the communication package - the
main one I think is https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?46521
The package needs major patching in order to compile, which isnt straight
forward for most users.
If the package comes up with pkg list, then you do not need to run pkg
rebuild, nor attempt to reinstall it.
Just remember to run pkg load communications (assuming it is installed) before
using it.
