Update of bug #57420 (project octave):
Status: None => In Progress
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #3:
As the original reporter, I verified that I can compile the main-body of
Octave with Qt4 now.
I still have a failure when it comes to building the documentation. I get
qcollectiongenerator: could not exec
'/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qcollectiongenerator': No such file or
directory
Do we want to bother to fix this? In general, it is only developers who will
need access to the extra tools to create the documentation. Since
documentation will be built on a machine with Qt5 and then shipped in the
tar.gz distribution file, maybe we don't need to bother.
On the other side of the argument, perhaps the various distros will compile a
Qt4 and a Qt5 version of Octave. They might encounter this error if they made
any changes which forced a documentation re-build.
