Thank you. That was very useful. `LIBS` and the SUNDIALS flags are looking
good now afaict.

That is probably because it just so happens that no static libraries get
pulled in by the (native) SUNDIALS dependencies on Fedora (or on
Debian/Ubuntu).
I'm more surprised that this didn't happen for MXE Octave MinGW cross-builds
on the buildbots or for me on Ubuntu...

Closing this as a symptom for the actual bug that is described in bug #65476.
