Follow-up Comment #4, patch #8140 (project octave):

Well, this time I went ahead and wrote the tests first.  I committed those
tests here (http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/8cfc28809a07).  The
current implementation, without your patch, doesn't handle rowheaders or
colheaders correctly so I stopped.
