Follow-up Comment #4, patch #8656 (project octave):

After some more playing I found a nasty bug:

You mention Copy/Paste to/from LO is working, but copying text from the
terminal pane makes Octave crash with signal 11 as soon as Ctlr-C is entered
(it also crashes on Windows).

So I think the copy paste code had better be left out until it works reliably
