Hello,
At my local newsserver many people use a specific encoding for binaries,
called b-news. One could compare it with yEnc, but different (as all
encodingstyles differ).
I was able to download binaries encoded with this with Pan 0.11.4, and decode
them with a seperate decoder.
Any later version fails to download: it shows that the body is being
downloaded, it shows 'decoding' but no file appears.
It's rather annoying that I have to stick with pan 0.11.4 for regular use,
since I do frequent some binary groups as well as a lot of text groups.
The decoder and other information concering this encoding can be found at
http://www.iguana.be/~stef/
As I'm not a very proficient C coder, could someone look into this?
Thanks!
Jan
