I don't see why not. Charles clearly doesn't have the time at the
moment, but others could easily step up to the plate. Free software
doesn't often die out - it may go unmaintained for a while, but thats
all.

While I'm not disputing your personal experience, you have to remember
that Windows isn't really the primary target platform for Pan (or indeed
for any other GTK app). There certainly aren't any serious problems with
it on Linux, and haven't been any in some time. I could name several new
features I'd like to see though, and to me they're more important that
bugfixes aimed at a platform in which I have no personal interest
whatsoever. So, importance is very much a relative thing - and the only
way ensure that your priorities are put ahead of other people's is to
actually write some code.
