hmm, assuming you mean 4.7 (not 4.6), i like this idea.  The only
downside is that i'm already running the backport (using 4.8) on my main
fully-populated keyserver (zimmermann.mayfirst.org), which makes testing
it live a difficult proposition.

Is it possible to downgrade a bdb installation? or would i need to
rebuild the db from a keydump to test this approach?
