Ciao a tutti,
ho acquistato un adattatore wireless usb (digicom 54 wave) e non
riesco a farlo funzionare.
Ho copiato il firmware nella directory del /lib/firmware/zd1211 e
quando inserisco la chiavetta il comando lsmod mi da il seguente
output:
usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 4
usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
zd1211rw 2-1:1.0: firmware version 4725
zd1211rw 2-1:1.0: zd1211b chip 0ace:1215 v4810 full 00-02-72 AL2230_RF pa0 g--
zd1211rw 2-1:1.0: eth1
Dopo aver inserito la chiave do i seguenti comandi:
/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 stop
ifrename
/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 start
ifrename da il seguente warning:
Warning: Interface name is `wlan0' at line 1, can't be mapped reliably.
Il file /etc/iftab ha solo la riga:
wlan0 mac 00:02:72:57:AB:20
Alla fine di questa procedura il comando iwconfig da come output:
wlan0 802.11g zd1211 ESSID:"linksys"
Mode:Ad-Hoc Frequency=2.462 GHz Cell: 00:18:39:C6:02:1D
Bit Rate=1 Mb/s
Encryption key:kkk-kkkk-kkkk-kkkk-kkkk-kkkk-kk Security
mode:restricted
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
Ifconfig non rileva alcun indirizzo associato all'interfaccia wlan0
Utilizzo solo WPE.
Sugerimenti?
La slackware è la 11 ed il kernel è il 2.6.18 (ho scaricato i package)
Saluti a tutti.
Antonio
