I should clarify this:   Make a flowchart (or whatever design process 
you prefer), to help you understand what the issues are -- to get a 
clear idea and direction in your head.  Don't bother to make a flowchart 
(or whatever) as a process in implementing the model.   Competency with 
your package will be much more useful than a document like this.   [In 
fact some visual programming systems already have coding tools that 
resemble flowcharts.  Windows Workflows in Visual Studio for example.]
