I switched to the "mob" branch and commited it locally, but the push
fails:

  $ git push
  fatal: unexpected EOF

I had cloned it like this:

  git clone git://repo.or.cz/tinycc.git

maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I had redone what you did to add volatile before I noticed that you had
changed the patch, the only difference being that I called the variable
just "qualifiers".

Someone should update the tinycc homepage to point at the git.or.cz
repository, not the savannah "CVS" one (actually git) which does not
include the branches.
