[Adonthell-general] They are back!

Yes, they are back, the Mighty Programmers of Adonthell. They are back
from them journey into the darkest regions of the programming world.
They successfully came back from the Mykroseft Realm, where they
attempted to bring light to the people of this enslaved land. 

The task wasn't of the easiest. They had to learn the alchemy of
cross-compiling, to keep safe from the dark magic of non-free software.
Despite of the temptation, they keep their spirit pure of all
proprietary programs during their mission, and got assistance from
people of the Windoze countries who guided them. They had to face
terrible monsters. In the cursed cave of Zlib, they fought one week long
against giant bugs to finally find the Ahrrbee, the magic key which
opened the door of the Windoze castle. And now, they are successfully
back with the St Graal: the yet unpure adonthell.exe. It is said, that
is has to power to free the Mykroseft people. The proof of their victory

Audacious adventurer, thy shall try to make Adonthell run under the OS
of chaos, by doing the following steps:
-Get http://www.gnurou.org/adonthell-stuff/adonthell-win.zip
-Unpack it into c:\. It will create a share\adonthell directory. Because
it hasn't been uncursed yet, it MUST be unpacked in your c:\ to run
properly. It should contain anything needed, from DLLs to Python files.
-Update your Waste's Edge CVS copy (as many things have changed) and
copy it's content into c:\share\adonthell\games\wastesedge.
-Open a DOS shell, go into c:\share\adonthell, and run 'adonthell
wastesedge'
-Thy should normally enjoy Adonthell. Actually, under the WineX curse
protection, the Wises have been able to run it without any problems to
notice. In case of problems, the files stdout.txt and stderr.txt should
contain interesting information for the Wizards to help you.
-Be prepared for another expedition into the Realm of Mykroseft, which
should bring comfort and ease of use to Adonthell Windoze users!

In case thy cannot get the CVS copy of Waste's Edge, thy shall answer
this message and ask for a servant to put a .zip on a well chosen place
as soon as possible.

My brothers, you are invited to test this piece as much as possible, as
the freedom of the Mykroserf people depends on the further progresses
that will be made.
