I did it that way originally because a thing may have more than one name, 
but I fixed it to be less confusing.

If you mean the "[...] hard enough nor malleable enough [...]", I left 
that in because as far as I know, it's correct English grammar. It seems 
awkward, but to preserve parallel structure, one must have true 
parallelism.
