Hi, I do not get what you mean. Which one do you think I should use? I followed instruction on http://smalltalk.gnu.org/download/cvs. I use git to get source into my directory. I assume after "git clone git://git.sv.gnu.org/smalltalk.git", I will get gst-3.1. After "git checkout -b stable-3.0 origin/stable-3.0" to directory contain gst-3.1, I will get gst-3.0 stable. Is that correct? Am I getting the correct set of source code?
Ok, I see. You're actually getting something like GNU Smalltalk version 3.1-c26f213which you called 3.1. I thought you were referring to stable 3.1, sorry for the misunderstanding.
So, for 3.1 you're getting errors that --disable-generational-gc does not fix. What version are you on? I only tested XP and Server 2003, maybe Vista or Windows 7 are broken.
Also, sorry for the possibly stupid question, but... why aren't you trying Linux? You could still try Windows every now and then, but now you'd be up and running. (Or maybe you have done so).
