1. The msg that I sent along included the header from the original posting,
dated Sept 1 and was literally the original msg...

2. I will be happy to rebuild things with alternate options - however
it'll take me a day or two get the things together due to other outside
factors.  I will return with more info soon.

3. I see this behavior under mac telnet/vt220/screen combination, dtterm, and
xterm, so terminal emulator probably isn't a factor.
