1) What version of lynx were you using, which platform?

2) Did no statusline alert happen, or do you not know (because you were
   not watching all the time)?

3) Are you sure it is a network problem?  Specifically, are you sure you
   had enough space in /tmp (or the temp space in effect)?

(These questions are separate from your suggestion to put some 
note on the download page - that may be a good idea.  But I would
like to understand what kind of error exactly you were/are dealing
with.)
