there's a gap in Lynx documentation at this point:
 .lynx-keymaps  was apparently introduced in a patch in 2-8-1dev.10 ,
subsequently fixed slightly by TD in 2-8-1dev.25 ;
there has been nothing in  CHANGES  since then
nor is it mentioned in Users Guide or anywhere else AFAIK.

surely, there's little point adding a feature without documenting it ... ?
