lynx-dev Lynx doesn't like cookies

Hello Developers

  I downloaded lynx2.8.2dev.21, which I installed with ncurses-4.2. uname
-a says "OSF1 goedel2 V4.0 878 alpha". First of all let me congratulate all
of you. Lynx has suffered major changes since its last release version,
which I am really amazed of. Now here is the problem that I've had. Let's
say I go to cnn.com, they give me a cookie, which I accept (I accept all
the cookies) and exit immediately. For some reason lynx hangs and does not
want to

  a) write .lynx_cookies b) exit the program

Is is there any reason why this is happening? What could I be doing wrong?
When in the options menu I configure to "Ignore" all the cookies Lynx exits
without problems. What other data do you need me to give you ? Below you
will find my compilation settings:

./configure --prefix=/scratch/chappa/lynx/lynx2.8.d21 \
--with-screen=ncurses --enable-addrlist-page --enable-alt-binding \
--enable-kbd-layout --enable-libjs --enable-persistent-cookies \
--enable-externs --enable-font-switch --enable-cgi-links \
--enable-exec-links --enable-exec-scripts --enable-internal-links \
--enable-nsl-fork --enable-syslog --enable-gzip-help \
--enable-debug --enable-trace

I had had the same problem before with 2.8.1, but I thought that maybe
some changes that I had done may have triggered that. In this case I did
not do anything, so I don't know what the problem is.

Also I enabled the experimental Javascript, but nowhere that I have
tried it has worked. Do you have any address that you can point me to,
where I can try this to know what I am testing?

Also I did not find any documentation on how to spawn the editor for
forms. It was not in the key-strokes help page at least.

Thanks a lot. You are doing a great job. Please send some sunshine to
the rainy city of Seattle.

Eduardo
