i'd say we step forward toward a solution to the copyright problem.

how about this:  everybody ever contributing to lynx source and/or
documentation shall send an email to thomas dickey giving him the
copyright to these parts.

if everybody agreed, and the source status is verified by email,
papers should be sent in as well.
