Everyone is stumbling across this one.  I fixed it on a branch a
while ago, but until just now, forgot to pus it to master.

I've pushed f188de902b613110d5943210f212adb680a2b44a to master
now, which should resolve this test failure.

With that on master, I can report that a plain
`./configure && make && make check` passes on FreeBSD 12.3-RELEASE-p5.
and also `--with-cyrus-sasl --with-tls --with-oauth`.
