I have just noticed the line
emacsprefix = @address@hidden(null)
in Makefile.in. What is that supposed to do? emacsprefix is not
supposed to be an exported variable. That is the reason why we have
in several places the difference in quoting styles:
'${datadir}/something' "${emacsprefix}/whatever"
datadir is resolved at Makefile execution time, emacsprefix at
configure time. If any emacsprefix is required at Makefile execution
time, this would appear to be a bug.
I am removing that line; and if there was a concrete reason for it, it
probably would require fixing.
