Follow-up Comment #4, bug #29743 (project avrdude): Apologies for the confusion Joerg. I was just trying to supply complete information about what was working and about what was not. So, let me repeat in a hopefully more clean manner. When I get home I'll send the dtruss log. BTW: thanks, never knew dtruss ran on OSX. That will make debugging lots of things hugely easier. WORKS: host: macbook pro running OSX 10.5.8 target: atmega328p host protocol: ??? target protocol: ISP to burn program to flash directly. WORKS: host: same target: same host protocol: ??? target protocol: stk500v1 to download program to arduino bootloader.
