Follow-up Comment #6, bug #65973 (group gettext):

I've checked this

F:\DCS_TRUNK\Localizer\bin+>xgettext --from-files=list.txt  --from-code=UTF-8
-L Lua -j -o dcs.pot  1>111                                                  
xgettext: Comment at or before environment.lua:8 is not UTF-8 encoded.        
                                                                              
  Please specify the source encoding through --from-code.                     
                                                                              
                                                                              
                                                       

F:\DCS_TRUNK\Localizer\bin+>echo 1                                            
                                                                       1   

Exit code is 1. And actually gettext exits after that without proceeding with
the rest of the files in the list.txt
