the only topic worthy of discussion on this list, at this time,
is whether or not the FSDG can be applied fairly, uniformly, and
perpetually; and if there is any assurance that it indeed will
be

this is diversion of that fundamental and critical topic, into
trivia - i am reluctant to validate it with any response at all;
but perhaps you have the wrong impression of the scope of this
mailing list

RMS's "words to avoid" are terms with a high potential for
confusion or subterfuge, or widely used with intentional
deception - "FSDG-free", along with "FSDG-compliant" and
"FSDG-compatible", have been used quite commonly and
interchangeably on this list, as short-hand for "within the FSDG
guidelines" - i dont think there has ever been any confusion
about the intended meaning, in the context of this list

it is expected that everyone participating in these discussions
is aware that the FSDG reach beyond the four-freedoms; and
discussions on this list rarely spill out into other venues -
the meaning of "free-software" is in no danger of being polluted
by the FSDG discussions - the purpose of this list is not to
educate nor to evangelize general software freedom concepts -
everything discussed on this list is very specifically to
determine "would the FSF recommend this distro?" and nothing else
