It looks like we should decide whether we want to build this thing bottom-up (DB, accessor functions, output functions, CSS, and then _javascript_), top-down (HTML, CSS, _javascript_, DB, and then accessor functions), or organically (everyone works on anything). I completely agree that style and usability are both difficult, important, and fun to work on, but I believe a small change in the functionality can necessitate a big change in the interface, and I don't think the opposite is likely. I'm afraid we'll end up forcing content changes onto a design which is no longer optimal.
