These days _if_ we are lucky the doctor _has_ Linux at all.
In many cases it will be on the server and Windows on the
workstations. If we strive for compliance on anything I'd
suggest LSB.

However, for those that install GNUmed on clean machines they
can always use Debian-Med which is the preferred way of doing
so IMHO.

Sure, Debian can be there but I certainly don't see the point
of focussing on it exclusively especially since at the moment
it is one of the least likely distributions to already reside
on a random doctor's desk machine (which doesn't mean it
wouldn't work for that task).
