If somebody needs or wants the docs, I got them (unfortunately in print
format only, so we would need to send by snail mail)
HL7 is an ambiguous monstrosity lacking any kind of elegance.
Writing a simple generic HL7 parser in Python is a matter of less than a
hundred lines, but then taking care of all the possible permutations of rules
(or lack thereof) becomes a code jungle very quickly.
