See the attached screenshot of the tooltip.

You can use it to select (or pre-select) an existing
address.

Either the patient lives right at that address in which case
you can just select that address.

Or else they live in the neighbourhood - select any address
there and edit, say, the number.

Editing any of the detail fields invalidates the address
field and will create a new address - however, the details
previously copied over from the address make editing less
work.
