Dear Mr. Maeker,

Hi all,

I've added the address@hidden mail and the gnumed-dev mailing list.

We currently maintain an open-sourced medical record that has been in development for the past 11 years through the efforts of our foundation.  You are invited to see our progress at www.freemedsoftware.org (and www.freemed.info for older version 0.8.5 demo/demo).

Yes I know your EMR, it is PHP/Ajax(or some kind of)/MySQL based.

Version 0.9 is maturing and we hope to include drug interactions while electronic scripting and billing are already functional.

That's good news.

We have noticed that you have a drug interactions database.   Would you be interested in a collaboration to unify this database between our two projects?

Yes, we can find a collaboration model between FreeMed and FreeMedForms (FMF) project.
You are interested in the drugs and interaction databases which is a small part of the FMF project.
What are your propositions ? Can you modelize FreeMed to use the same drugs and interactions databases as FreeDiams ? Do you want to connect FreeMed with FreeDiams or only share the databases (as GNUMed and MedinTux done) ?

You can find the drugs database schema here (should be updated for the v0.5.0 of FreeDiams):

There are many jobs that can be unified between our respective projects:
- ICD10 i18n database
- a shared model for the billing/accountancy
- ...

Any development from our contributors would be funneled back to your project.

Of course, that will be a great "winner winner" plan.

We look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Daniel D'Andrea, M.D.
