Wow! You mean the state does not assert a need for the lab to know (and for the 
state to be able to determine from the lab) the results plus "for health 
planning purposes and for possible disease control reasons" something about the 
patient including their name?

Are German path labs required to have doctor-owners or doctors in the quality 
control, and does not the state insist there must be some way to cross-check 
(verify) whether a label got put on a wrong tube or some other way to resolve 
inadvertent mixup?
