Also, was it ok that I shortened the name of the .tar file from

        backup-gnumed_v19-REALLY_REALLY_LONG_STRING_2015-01-12-09-59-25.tar

to the following

        backup-gnumed_v19-2015-01-12-09-59-25.tar

bearing in mind that the actual compressed contents (database.sql and 
roles.sql) would have still been named in a way that included

        REALLY_REALLY_LONG_STRING_

in their file names?
