Me again, Hi Gary,

So I managed installing V 3-22 from Master, build and check went OK.

Its running when started from command level. I can use cgps and I'm getting fixes etc.

hk@orangepizero:/usr/local/sbin$ ll
total 492
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff 473152 Feb  5 08:24 gpsd
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff   9856 Feb  5 08:24 gpsdctl
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff  14065 Aug 25  2016 rpimonitor-helper.sh

$gpsd --help gives me among others

...
# Socket export enabled.
# Shared memory export enabled.
# DBUS export enabled
# Control socket for hotplug notifications enabled
# Magic Hat enabled
# systemd socket activation enabled

hk@orangepizero:~$ gpsd -V
gpsd: 3.22.1~dev (revision 3.22.1~dev-2021-02-04T22:49:06)

BUT

How can I start the service at boot?

I see NO /etc/default/gpsd, neither do I have a dir called /etc/sysconfig

Calling systemctl gives me:

sudo systemctl start gpsd
[sudo] password for hk:
Failed to start gpsd.service: Unit gpsd.service not found.

And I guess I must somewhere set my device as /dev/ttyACM0?!

?? hk
