I don't think so. I used a trivial test case:

finally miffing infinity

.bp

finally miffing infinity

that tickles the gs7 bug. There are no font changes there.

Looking at the grops output beside the dpost output, the only major 
difference is that dpost doesn't re-encode text fonts. Grops does.
