I'll volunteer to help with that one. Does cfengine have a 'contrib'
area? I have a couple 10 systems that I can volunteer for testing.
They're not all that fast, but they run.
Basically, it's Solaris 10's *new* way of managing services, sort of
kind of similar to chkconfig / service on Linux. Handles dependencies
between services (network, physical, application), what run-level they
need to fire up in, etc. It's an almost complete replacement of
/etc/init.d (rc?.d) scripts on Solaris.
And related in a way: has anyone played with cfengine under a non-global
zone? The same manifest and control script should work, but if it's not
part of the original installation package it has to be installed in the
non-global zone as well. Correct?
