Follow-up Comment #4, bug #64349 (project octave):

I added file #54877 with minimal data and missing creation data in meta data.
I can not say exactly with which software this file was produced. It is an
export from a custom software using "some commercial library" to write excel
files. I will try to find out what it is.

Sorry for not providing diffs. I will upload it soon.

Concerning the *"regression"* I can not exactly state which version of _io_ it
was. I know that it worked with an early _Octave 7.x_ version, probably with
the last version of _io 2.6.3_. But this is just a guess.

*File modification:*
Editing the file with excel (Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019) does not
change the _creation date_ and does not add a creation date if it does not
exist.
