Follow-up Comment #4, bug #65392 (group octave):

In configure.ac, the convention when using OCTAVE_CHECK_LIB seems to be that
the failure message will indicate what Octave features will not work because
of the missing library.  As an example, here is the code for GLPK


OCTAVE_CHECK_LIB(glpk, GLPK,
  [GLPK library not found.  The glpk function for solving linear programs will
be disabled.],


This pattern is maintained for the two existing SUNDIALS libraries.  For
example,


  OCTAVE_CHECK_LIB(sundials_ida, [SUNDIALS IDA],
    [SUNDIALS IDA library not found.  The solvers ode15i and ode15s will be
disabled.],


But I notice that for the newly added test for SUNDIALS core the message is
simply that the library was not found.


  OCTAVE_CHECK_LIB(sundials_core, [SUNDIALS core],
    [SUNDIALS core library not found.],


Should this also have the sentence "The solvers ode15i and ode15s will be
disabled."?  Or is it possible to have SUNDIALS work without this core library
on older versions of SUNDIALS?
