Follow-up Comment #7, bug #65431 (group octave):

The patch works for me too. I also tried compiling with ASAN and w/ patch I do
not see ASAN errors. 
Number of warnings though is quite large. If you try to rotate this figure you
will get again. But may be this is OK, it is  
the price of messed up data.
