Follow-up Comment #23, bug #65421 (group octave):

yes, so the converse of that comment #15 is 'when you define your geometry
with faces/vertices, FaceVertexCData is meant to be used."  if your data
source is providing face/vertex data, that would probably be the easiest
approach.
