Follow-up Comment #6, patch #9930 (project octave): @Andreas: Test cases are always a big plus. I happen to have access to Matlab + statistics toolbox so I can try your examples there as well to check for Matlab compatibility. Just try to make sure those examples comply to Matlab syntax. IMO Matlab sometimes (?often?) adds way too may bells and whistles to their functions (apparently you're agreeing there) which tends to make maintainability somewhat hard.
