I got
ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/rawhide/1.0/i386/RedHat/RPMS/freetype-2.1.1-1.i386.rpm
(also had to get dev and util packages) and upgraded for both of my Red
Hat Linux boxes (7.1 and 7.2). I reran Pan, saw the GUI for one second,
and got:

address@hidden download]$ pan
pan: relocation error: /usr/lib/libXft.so.2: undefined symbol:
XRenderCompositeText8

address@hidden download]$ locate libXft.so.2
/usr/lib/libXft.so.2.0
/usr/lib/libXft.so.2

Argh! I did this upgrade on both of my Red Hat Linux boxes (7.1 and 7.2).
Now what? [sighs] :(
