The HELP files for Lynx state that proxy support was added in V2.2. I browsed
lynx.browser.org for a while and found nothing to contradict that and nothing
that mentioned anything over and above the standard Lynx distribution that I
needed to have proxy work. I've defined the various *proxy variables in
LYNX.CFG like this:
http_proxy:http://firewall.si.com:80/
ftp_proxy:http://firewall.si.com:80/
...
no_proxy:si.com
Yet, when I try to reach an off-site address, I get:
Alert!: Proxy Authentication Required. Sorry, not yet supported.
lynx: Can't access startfile http://other.dom.ain/
What am I missing? Navigator, using very similar proxy settings, works.
