Details:

Here's the implementation of RANK.  It's not yet ready for public
consumption, but I'd appreciate some help at this point.

It basically works, but doesn't deal with SPLIT FILE properly.  I tried to
put the business parts inside a call to multipass_procedure_with_splits, but
I found that numerous assertions kept arising.  I'm not sure how to deal with
that problem.
