No problem, no politics here :-)
We are trying to find a solution for our users.

Moreover the Savannah service is not dedicated for us,
and we are very please with the service it gives us for free so
we may request feature but we cannot expect them to implement
them.

This would be a nice solution.
I would have proposed just the same solution I ever I had a
usable server with full administrative privilege :-(

The potential service may be configured with cvs+ssh
READ-ONLY anonymous access on port 443.
(or cvspserver on 443)

The CERTI cvs repository on Savannah may be mirrored easily with rsync:

rsync -av rsync://cvs.sv.nongnu.org:sources/certi .

one need to be able to use rsync port , i.e. 873.
